I assume you mean by arch type as the 6 bolt pattern. I think that theoretically could Centerlock a bit better, but I think not, think so. The thing is, both are good, but this decision could depend on your wheels. I always prefer 6 hole, because there are many other hubs better than Shimano. Well, DT Swiss makes some Centerlock hubs, but they are much more expensive.
